To welcome Honduras.
To be the place where people gather to celebrate, decide and create the important moments of their lives and of their country.
Home›About us
Our story is written by Honduras.
46 years welcoming those who celebrate, decide and create in the country.
The complex that grew with San Pedro Sula.
In 1980, Banco Sogerin had the visionary idea of developing a hotel complex in San Pedro Sula to strengthen national and international tourism in the region. That is how Hotel Copantl was born: an ambitious project that combined social areas, tennis courts, an Olympic pool, two restaurants and 191 rooms.
Its design was conceived with an identity of its own, blending modern architecture with references to Mayan culture and Honduran heritage. That inspiration lives on in its name, Copantl, in its architecture and in the names of its halls, which pay tribute to the roots of the Honduran people.
In 2016 the world-class Convention Center opened, positioning Honduras as a competitive destination for large international events. With it, the complex took its definitive name: Copantl Hotel & Convention Center.

19versatile halls
There are places that host events. And there are places where Honduras welcomes the world.
From an intimate meeting to an international congress. At Copantl we do not ask how big your event is… we ask how big your vision is.
We have the infrastructure, the technology and the people so that no idea is left without a venue. But a convention center is not measured only in halls, capacity or square meters: it is measured in what people feel when they experience it.
Behind every set-up there is a reason that matters to us: a partnership being sealed, a celebration being shared, an achievement that deserves to be remembered. We do not sell space. We offer the exact stage and the perfect experience, so that your moment is unforgettable.
Our philosophy.
